Make a contribution to the cause.

Up to 75 percent of the net income from the San Francisco Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to fighting breast cancer in the San Francisco Bay Area community. Every year, SF Komen awards grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the national Komen Award and Research Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.

Memorial Gifts

Make a donation in memory of a loved one or friend. When a memorial gift is received, the Affiliate sends a personalized tribute card to the person or family indicated, notifying them of your thoughtful donation, but not revealing the amount of the donation.

In Honor Gifts

Celebrate a loved one's survivorship or a special occasion - a birthday, anniversary, or a wedding, or recognize the courage of a friend or relative who is fighting breast cancer by making a gift in their honor. The Affiliate sends a personalized tribute card to the person being honored, but does not reveal the amount of the donation.

Workplace Giving

Many employers provide an easy method for their employees’ charitable giving by participating in United Way, the Combined Federal Campaign or by sponsoring a company payroll deduction campaign. Please check with your Human Resources or Community Relations Department if you would like to direct a donation to our affiliate.

Many companies also have matching gift programs that will donate a % or double a donation you have made to us – whether through your payroll deduction or a direct donation you have made to our affiliate. If your company will match your gift, please be sure that you designate the "SF Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure" on your employer’s gift forms and that the forms are mailed directly to our affiliate office: 150 Post Street, Suite 755, SF CA 94108.

 

Every gift is tax-deductible and the donor receives an acknowledgement of his or her donation.
